Rangeley Lake fishing map (laminated)
Rangeley Lake is one of the largest lakes in Franklin County and provides a beautiful backdrop for the famed Rangeley area. Nestled in the mountains of western Maine, Rangeley is one of the major headwater lakes of the Androscoggin River drainage. At 6000 acres, it has a maximum depth of 147 feet. There are three public boat launch sites on the big lake; one in Rangeley, another near the village of Oquossoc on Route 4, and a nice site with ample parking located in Rangeley Lake State Park off South Shore Drive in Rangeley Plantation. The park is a popular destination for camping and the lake is well marked with navigational buoys by the Maine Department of Conservation.
