Onondaga Lake Fishing Map
Onondaga Lake has become one of the premier bass fisheries in the county so much so that in 2007 it hosted a major BASS tournament that received ESPN coverage. The first Saturday in August is host to the fishing for dollars tournament which involves tagged bass which represent different dollar amounts. During the fishing season regional bass tournaments are held on a weekly basis. From its days as a highly polluted lake to what it is now, Onondaga has made great improvements into the fishery it is today. The water quality and fishery itself will only continue to improve producing larger bass. For fisherman who want an extremely good quality bass fishery within a smaller lake, Onondaga Lake should be the top choice.
