Torino Green Guide
Among the many firsts of Turin is that of being the first Green Guide of the city updated and renewed at the time of the lockdown. A metropolis in great upheaval and ferment (economic, social, cultural, tourist, football…) which suddenly found itself empty, motionless, the large spaces dilated in the shade of the gentle hills. Some said: beautiful.
Turin is a city that trains one to look deeply, observes the Turin writer Enrico Remmert who, in this guide, accompanies us on foot along the arcades, lingering in the hidden squares and among the market stalls, recounting the melting pot of the neighborhoods, the love for culture at the Book Fair but above all inside the historic bookshops, the ghosts of the Venaria palace. Always dosing wonder and contradictions with irony: regal and working-class Turin, orderly and enigmatic Turin, medieval and liberty Turin, Turin with a curmudgeon but until 2020 with the highest percentage in Europe of clubs, bars and restaurants per inhabitant.
