Shiloh Battlefield (in Shiloh Natl Military Park) #102 by Trailhead Graphics, Inc.
44,000 Confederate soldiers, led by General Albert S. Johnston took Major General Ulysses S. Grants forces by surprise in early April of 1862. Thirteen hours of bloodshed on April 6 included the death of General Johnston. Grant was reinforced that night with the arrival of the Army of the Ohio, and a brutal counter-attack on April 7 prevented a possible shift of power to the Confederacy.
The second map in the series features the locations of over 150 monuments and over 550 markers and tablets. Historic fields and farm roads highlight this detailed topo map. Also included are index maps and an Organizational Chart.
