The manuscripts have been chosen to illustrate a variety of appearances and subject matter and selected with the collections held in the Árni Magnússon Institute for Icelandic Studies in Reykjavik, The Arnamagnæan Collection at the University of Copenhagen and at the Royal Library in Stockholm.
