Walking the French Gorges a trail through Provence and the Ardeche
Guide to walking from the Cote dAzur to the Massif Central, including a trek along the Grand Canyon of the Verdon, and an ascent of Mont Ventoux, the highest summit in mainland France outside the Alps and Pyrenees. Mainly follows the GR4, also parts of GR6 and GR9 and visits the gorges of Verdon, Oppedette, Ardeche and Chassezac. Provence and Ardeche offer some of the most delectable walking in all France.
