North and South Island are presented separately on each side of the map, accompanied by the relevant street plans. Topography is well presented by relief shading with plenty of names of mountain ranges, peaks, etc. National parks and other protected areas are highlighted. Road network includes selected local roads, distinguishes between paved and unsurfaced roads, and gives driving distances on main routes. A range of symbols indicate various places of interest including selected campsites, viewpoints, surfing and scuba diving locations, etc. The maps have no geographical coordinates. The index includes separate lists of sights and national parks/protected areas.
